America is approaching a difficult season due to financial irresponsibility and lack of national leadership. The root causes of these issues have been our government’s removal of God consciousness and Biblical values from our schools, courts, and the public square. “Be not deceived, God is not mocked, whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap.” America is facing the consequences outlined in Deuteronomy 28. Wise believers will prepare for tough times ahead. This is a plan that will enable people to personally prepare and reach out to others during the coming crisis.

First, we will establish a strong home base of operation. You cannot pull another person from quicksand unless you are standing on firm soil. Therefore the first phase is establishing cooperative community of believers with a home base of strength and relative security from which to minister. This base will include a highly productive system of food production to provide for our own needs and a surplus to share with others.
Our residences encircle fields, large garden tracts and aquaponic greenhouses. Aquaponics is a revolutionary, highly productive method of growing vegetables year round in a controlled environment. Fish in tanks produce the food for the plants and the plants produce the food for the fish. I have visited a very productive aquaponic operation and am in the process of establishing one. The basic concept of Kingdom Vista is to become as self sustaining as possible.

What is the motivation? Why would people consider such a venture?
In Matthew 24, Jesus specifically mentions famine in the last days. Most Americans are totally dependent on food distribution methods that could be interrupted by many factors. In panic scenarios, supermarket shelves empty in hours. There is no better solution than an effective continual system of food production. Although any scenario will have challenges, this vision places basic food production in our hands rather than being dependent on the marketplace.
Many feel frustrated and helpless by our nation’s downward spiral. What can we do? It is often overwhelming to consider actions alone. Together we can accomplish ministry we could never do alone.
As troubled times emerge, cities will become undesirable places to live because of dense population and total dependency on food distribution. For most, there is no possibility of growing your own food.
Many people know God has called them to engage this culture in some manner. They want to be a part of an emerging ministry vision. This is a “residential vision.” Everyone lives somewhere. Here is an opportunity to join a ministry community with a vision that is being birthed around you.
Most people today know one or two families who live nearby and those relationships often do not share similar values. This community is drawn together by two common factors. First, we understand that perilous times are coming and are choosing a more desirable place to live. Second, we desire to be part of an emerging ministry to others during this troubled time and beyond.
The banana that gets separated from the bunch is the one that gets eaten. Although there are no guarantees in a chaotic world, this community is designed from the beginning to end with safety measures in mind.
What About Children?
This would be a wonderful place for children. Nature abounds. There would be exposure to a variety of animals including horses, cows, rabbits, chickens, and goats. There are nature trails and swimming area and fish ponds. I have been a Christian school teacher and administrator and I am a strong advocate for Christian education and home schooling. I could not imagine a better setting.
Ministry-minded people want to do more than just provide for themselves. In the Biblical account, Joseph was able to sustain others because of his wise preparations. Even during times of duress, the heart of God is to minister. Desperate people will be seeking help but it must be done with wisdom and discernment. We will do more than provide physical food. Some of those who arrive in the food ministry area will arrive by divine appointment. We will identify those who are “our assignments” and minster His life on a much deeper level.
Step One – Food Ministry
The first contact will be achieved through the food ministry. We will serve meals depending on food availability. Staff will seek opportunity to minster God’s love in a variety of ways. As staff members interact with people they seek to discern those who may be “our assignment.”
Step Two – Introductory Camp
Those we initially think may be “our assignments” are invited to stay several days in an introductory campground for several days. During their stay, ladies are expected to assist with meals as the men assist with tasks around the workshop. “He that doth not work, neither shall he eat” is our motto. This brief camp experience will give opportunity to assess attitudes and work ethic. Those who pass this checkpoint of “our assignment” will be given an invitation to join the work camp for 3-6 months.
Step Three – Work Camp
The work camp includes a kitchen/dining hall/laundry building. There will be dormitory accommodations for single men and boys, and another for single women and girls. Married couples and those with children will have very simple cabins. There is a food producing aquaponic center, and chickens, rabbits, and milk goats. This camp will accommodate 70-100 people.
Everyone works every day. They will help with meals, keep grounds, tend gardens in the base community, help with construction projects or in the shop. Everyone will receive a probationary evaluation after the first week and first month with possible expulsion if rules are scorned or broken.
Leaders will live in staff housing and teach basic survival skills – aquaponics, gardening, simple shelter techniques, animal husbandry and slaughter. Men may assist with ongoing construction projects. Attending regular Bible lessons will be required. Various subjects will be taught by base community members. This will be a major emphasis of the work camp. Lessons will include: Knowing God, Hearing God’s Voice, Health and Healing, Overcoming Abuse and Adversity, etc.
Most will leave after 4-6 months with new skills and spiritual understanding designed to help them establish a new beginning. Those with leadership capabilities may be asked to remain as leaders and move into staff housing. Others may become staff in the base community for a season. Others may take the concepts learned and assist in establishing similar facilities in other locations.
Base Community Involvement
This vision would not emerge without the initial involvement of the base community. The base community provides initial manpower and resources to create the camp facility. They create the aquaponic food production system that will sustain themselves and provide a surplus. This system will be duplicated in the work camp. Community members will provide leadership in the food services. They will teach Bible classes in the work camp and become mentors or take special interest, as God directs.
Security will be one of the main issues during a season of great unrest. Desperate people will be on the move. What security measures will be taken?
The basic layout of the residential community is a circle. In the wild west days, pioneers circled their wagons as a defensive posture to protect valuables in the circle. Food is our most important commodity. The food plots and aquaponic greenhouses are in the middle and clearly visible by the community’s eyes from all directions. Instead of stockpiling massive quantities of food, the concept is to produce it continuously. Certainly some seasons will be more productive than others, but some year-round production is possible. This bypasses some of the need for preservation and refrigeration. In addition, a raid would not be completely devastating because of our ability to produce. Anyone knowledgeable of our system would know that we do not have years of food stockpiled to confiscate. The property would be fenced with gated access points and guarded as needed. Security assigned persons would live throughout the community with security assignments.
The best defense is our offense. We are not a huddled, defensive, survival camp. We are kingdom-minded people actively seeking to hear and obey God’s voice. When Israel was in proper relationship with God, He was their protection. “When a man’s ways please the Lord, He maketh even his enemies be at peace with him.” Evil clearly exists and ancient Israel had enemies who desired to steal and destroy. They fought many battles. However, God often protected them by His power. Our obedience to God is our best defense. America’s abandonment of God is precisely the reason for our nation’s crisis. This community will become living proof of the values of seeking and honoring God – He blesses, He provides, and He protects. But yes, we will be armed and vigilant and a security presence will be evident on several levels, as needed. We are fully aware there is evil in this world. It will be rampant during this time and we will walk in wisdom and discernment. But we will continue to share the redeeming love of Christ in all seasons.

What If Difficult Days Never Arrive?
For those who become a part of this community, you will have a beautiful and enjoyable community with waterfront access, green spaces, and ministry-minded neighbors. In time, we will develop the final portion of the vision which will be a retreat and conference center that will equip the body of Christ in a variety of ways. I have a strong mandate to lead God’s people out of religious thinking. This is a formidable challenge, but a retreat setting and ministry is a strategic manner of encouraging believers to broaden their vision and embrace kingdom dynamics.
As this community emerges from troubled times, there will be a group of highly motivated ministry-minded people and together, under God’s leadership, we will shape the future of this vision. When ministry-minded people come together, ministry will flow. As Jesus said, “Out of your belly shall flow rivers of living water.” The facility could become a campground for youth and children’s events. My life, the lives of my children and many others have been greatly touched by God in camp settings.
Is There Enough Time? What If A National Crisis Arrives Before Preparations are Complete?
We will adjust. This is a vision that will have many adjustments, as it unfolds. Flexibility is a positive character trait. Life in this vision would be an adventure shared with believers who share common values. We are entering a time when there are no external guarantees. Everyone needs to know God’s direction for their life, regardless of circumstances.
What About the Money?
This vision encompasses over 150 acres and more than 60 residences – 20 custom built homes and 40 affordable townhouses or duplexes. I do not have possession of this property at this time. I am casting a vision believing God will enable it to come to pass. God’s ways and thoughts are much higher than mine.
This is a huge vision for which I have no funding, but my Father does. As this vision is released, I have full confidence God will provide. This information will come to the attention of someone or organization who will step forward to address the financial need. Several weeks ago, God prompted me to “get the seeds in the ground” by broadcasting the vision. I have fasted and prayed and I am doing my part by declaring it like Habakkuk says, “Write the vision, make it plain, that a runner may run with it.”
Land could be purchased with the combined purchase price of the housing lots, or a financier may emerge to provide developmental capital. I have a variety of strategic people interested in this vision including a civil engineer and an engineering firm, real estate personnel, building contractors, subcontractors, and more. I have personally led another major building project that was considered by many, as ridiculous and impossible.
Money will diminish in value in the near future with inflation and hyperinflation. It is much wiser to invest in the Kingdom of God rather than to seek to hold excessive treasure for the last days. James 5:1-3 says, “Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries shall come upon you. Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.”
According to this scripture, those who seek security through the accumulation of wealth, including gold and silver, are in for a great disappointment. In the last days, even gold and silver will “canker” and loose value. In eternity, accumulation of wealth will actually be evidence against them. How much wiser to invest in the Kingdom now! The greatest investment is people. Many in heaven will miss their opportunity for eternal reward by not investing in God’s kingdom on Earth in a timely manner.

Everyone desiring to join this vision will complete a profile stating their background, gifts, skills, and interests. The body of Christ on earth is the many-membered, life-giving creation of God. Everyone must have a purpose in this unfolding community. This vision is far more than a place to seek refuge from the approaching storm. It is not for parasites cowering in fear. We have a screening process that will eliminate high maintenance, low impact people. The recommendation of a pastor or spiritual leader will be required.

Who is the Visionary Leader?
I am 61 years old with a lovely wife and four children ranging from 21 to 33 years old. One is a civil engineer, one is a program analyst with a national cooperation. The two youngest are currently in Christian universities. The youngest is a daughter who has the desire to establish a camp for adolescent girls. Several of my children have served as high adventure camp counselors in Tennessee. I identify with the scripture that says, “There is no greater joy than to know your children walk in truth.”
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Florida and I have been a serious Bible student throughout my life. I have served as pastor of a variety of churches and am currently pastor of a local church. This assignment is not a full reflection of my spiritual understanding, but I know it is where God has called me to serve in this season.
Over the past several years I have written many articles for local secular newspapers contrasting unfolding events in our nation with Biblical values and principles. These articles can give you a deeper understanding of my views and values.

My father was a residential building contractor and I have a full range of construction expertise. Ten years ago, my assistance was required by a nearby ministry to the desperate and destitute. This ministry was offered a three story bank building scheduled for demolition. Due to its size, moving it by traditional methods was impossible. We disassembled it wall by wall and reassembled it thirty miles away. I was the daily, hands-on director of this six month project. I enlisted farm trailers, equipment and people from a wide variety of backgrounds to work together in this charitable effort. I have a reputation of being a problem solver and leader in projects most people would consider impossible.
I have several mechanical inventions and have spent several years researching alternative energy options. I hope to incorporate some of these ideas in this vision, including a revolutionary method of waste water treatment that creates a bi-product that can be used for electricity. Christians should be the most creative people on earth because our Father is the master Creator and we have been given His Spirit.
Leadership and Decision Making
“Who is in Control?” Are decisions made by the “money people?” Is the government by the people? Do community members have a voice?
The early church was led by men who walked with Jesus and were empowered by the Holy Spirit to bring direction to the work of God on Earth. Ephesians identifies a variety of gifted leaders given to the church including: apostles, prophets, pastors, evangelists, and teachers. God used a variety of channels to accomplish His work. In the Old Testament, God chose leaders and defended the authority of His chosen. If we desire Kingdom dynamics, we must adopt Kingdom principles.
If you are looking for a place to vote, I encourage you to look elsewhere. It is our goal to see a unique expression of God’s Kingdom on Earth. God’s voice often comes through His people and it can come from anyone, at any time. There will be times when the community will discuss issues and vision, but it is my desire to establish God as the head of this venture.
From those God directs to this venture, leadership gifts will become obvious. I am the initial vision bearer and I will continue to be one of the primary leaders, until God leads otherwise. This is not my kingdom. It is a small segment of God’s Kingdom. I am confident other leadership will walk beside me and together will seek to hear and obey our Heavenly Father.

Leadership’s View of the Condition of America
There is serious trouble ahead for America. For several years, I have written articles contrasting national developments with scriptural principles. Some of those articles can be accessed here.
I have been to Washington several times and in the past several years expressing my concern directly to Congressmen and Representatives. I am a member of Christians United for Israel and have great respect for Pastor John Hagee, General Jerry Boykin, Rick Joyner, and David Barton of Wallbuilders. I listen to a variety of conservative and prophetic voices. I am a watchmen on the wall and I see danger approaching.
This vision is not a sudden, knee-jerk reaction. I have spent many quiet hours in fellowship with the Father on this property. 15 years ago, my prophetic wife was walking on the property when she sensed God’s voice saying, “This property is set aside for Kingdom purposes and it will be entrusted into the hands of a faithful servant.”
I enjoyed a strong relationship with the elderly owner before his death, 8 years ago. It is not currently listed in the real estate market, but I am aware of the estate dynamics.
The perfect storm is coming. When a hurricane strikes, those in the path have a brief time to prepare or flee. There will be no escape from the approaching storm. Now is the time to prepare. Often “prepare” means getting out of areas that will be hit the hardest. You would be wise to objectively assess your physical situation. For those who desire a place to relocate, this is an option to prayerfully consider. There is still a brief window of opportunity to liquidate and relocate.
I am expecting more than 100 responses to this vision in the next 60 days. If you feel drawn to this vision, I encourage you to respond. Tell others you know who may also be interested. More details will be released to those who respond.

Is This a Church?
From the early days, I envision regular meetings to get acquainted and share in Bible study and worship. Many common values draw us together and strong bonds of fellowship will quickly develop. Our life would be focused on being the church rather than forming an organizational structure. With thirty to sixty households, a living fellowship would emerge quickly. If someone chooses to worship elsewhere, there would be no discouragement of that choice. I am currently a bi-vocational pastor of a local church and will continue until God redirects me.
